Our Origins

The Healing Essence is a natural skincare store and holistic massage service, offering 100% natural products and exceptional customer service to customers from the comfort of their own homes.

It all began with an ambition of one young woman in the picturesque town of Whitby (the jewel of the Yorkshire coast). This woman is Holly Johnston, who suffered with problematic skin from a young age and decided to turn to forms of natural healing to help. This is where the business idea started. She wanted to make an all natural skincare range that would suit all skin types and use only the purest of ingredients. She knew she wanted to be sustainable, responsible, and use the power of essential oils to heal you from the inside and out.

Taking the plunge she started making her very own formulas from her kitchen at home, using her own research and approved courses to proficiently build her very own skincare range.

All our products are 100% free of petrochemicals, phthalates, parabens or sodium lauryl sulfates (SLS), all of which are typically present in mass produced skincare products and can be damaging to the skin.
